The Pirates’ Storm (2010)
The moon is rising with a fast approaching tide,
the crew is on the threshold of embarking
The vessel spoke aloud in the storm,
encountering an unknown squall was the norm
Peg-legged and crippled they manage the high seas,
their personalstairwell to heaven rocking gently
Aboard there are no spindles for fair-maidens,
to prick their innocent fingers
These pirates use their own crude devices,
baits covered in cubic zirconia and lures of pyrite
Anteros is not their chosen deity,
for they are the breaker of hearts
Vestals Virgins are used like a yoyo or whirligig,
toys jostled in the surf to their ruination.
Walking the Plank (2010)
I walked the plank,
The pirate pushed me in,
Drowned in his sea.
Abandoned (2011)
The stars light my way
beckoning me out into the night
surrounded by blackness.
The phantom will not rescue me,
he lurks in the distance
silently watching all.
The moon casts a shadow
between the dense trees,
I quickly move towards the figure.
A malevolent breeze picks up
tossing dew sodded leaves,
my own tresses blind me.
The long sought for shadow
vanishes into the darkness,
I am stranded out in the cold.
I have been abandoned.
Weather Report(2010)
clouds are following
mournful, dark and full of tears
I seek out the sun
rays of hope fill me
warmth has displaced all else
I soak in the light
the rain falls elsewhere
protected by clear blue skies
I am now alive
